Greetings, Recreation and Vacation Traveler!

Assisted Recreation and Vacation Travel Services (ARVTS) is the recreation and vacation travel program of Developmental Disabilities Association of New Jersey, Inc.  (D.D.A.N.J., Inc.), a private, not-for-profit corporation providing service to the developmentally disabled population since 1980 in New York and New Jersey. We have now expanded our recreation and travel service programs to include all people needing assistance in making vacation and recreation travel a reality.

Our recreation and vacation packages are all-inclusive within our transportation catchment area. We will be limiting our travel packages to small groups to maintain an appropriate and effective staff-to-guest ratio. Once your travel package has been paid, there is no additional cost involved except for optional and personal souvenir purchases and for any unforeseen emergency expenses. At ARVTS, all-inclusive means that we will be providing:

A qualified, experienced and courteous Recreation Coordinator available to help meet      your vacation needs throughout your recreation or travel vacation experience.
- Airfare and all ground transportation (where applicable).
- Accessible quality hotel and rooming accommodations.
- All meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Door-to-door pick-up within our catchment area. Special arrangements may be made for pick-up outside our catchment area, so please contact us for our catchment area information.
- Admission to all attractions and events.

*Additional fees of $150.00-$200.00 per day will be required for one-on-one care and other specialized services. These additional fees are necessary to cover our cost for the additional staff member covering the one on one care. Please call for additional information regarding your specialized vacation requirements.

Any traveler who requires one-on-one special care and fails to alert us of their Special Needs Situation or requirements (physical, medical or behavioral issues) runs the risk of having their vacation or recreation package canceled prior to the departure date or being returned home early, without refund, and charged for any additional unanticipated expenses relating to early return. Please complete all required documentation accurately to avoid any possible misunderstandings.

Careful review of our ARVTS tour packages will lead you to conclude that we create lifelong memories at reasonable rates, so to avoid any disappointment, please sign up early. Gift certificates are available in any denomination and will never expire. In addition, we can set up a travel account for those of you wishing to spend now and travel at a later date.

Please note that it is required that our vacation guests carry a photo ID with them on all vacation packages. As we know you are aware, the Air and Cruise lines following heightened security guidelines, will no longer allow our vacationing guests to board an aircraft or cruise ship without having proper identification.

For further information on any of our vacation or recreation travel packages, please call       1(732) 636-6711 and request additional information and availability on the tour package of your choice. A 50% deposit will hold your place on any vacation requiring an overnight stay.
